Organic housekeeping for families
To be green is the new “it” thing, just like “low carb” was for a while. I m very happy about this change, because I have been a passionate environmentalist for many years. Besides, with all the economic troubles and the high gas prices, to use environmentally friendly products can be cheaper in some cases.
Cleaning with environmentally friendly products is one of the few cases where it is cheaper than using conventional detergents. Vinegar, baking soda and salt are some of the most effective cleaning products available. They are cheap, easy to use and they work. There are a few books with advice on how to use these products. The one that I found very helpful is called “Organic Housekeeping” by Ellen Sandbeck
I recommend it if you want to switch from conventional cleaning to a cheaper and environmentally-friendly alternative.
