Gorgeously Green by Sophie Uliano
I have been reading the book by Sophie Uliano, Gorgeously Green. It is a nicely written book with a lot of helpful information on green living from beauty to cleaning and eating.
I think it is a book worth reading. I got it from my library and I finished it quickly. Even though it has some technical information, it is easy to read and entertaining, actually even funny at times. I found some of the information alarming (even if it is true I do not want to know), but it also has some useful information.
Some of her recommendations are expensive, but others are cheap and easily applicable. An example of this is to use 1/2 cup of baking soda as a fabric softener in the laundry instead of softening products. This tip was great for me, because the regular fabric softener causes me irritation. Just so as you know you need to add the baking powder during the rinse cycle (you may want to read my post on organic housekeeping).
